Can a Thyroid disease turn in to cancer?

I have been struggling with an underactive thyroid for 13 years. What is the worst that can happen? Is this a serious disease?

Any part of the body can become cancerous, but being hypothyroid doesn’t increase the risk of thyroid cancer. It just means that you will need to be on meds to control it for your entire life and your thyroid levels will have to be monitored. Thats about as bad as it will get.

It is fairly serious as the thyroid controlls your metabolism as well as other aspects of your body. An under active thyroid is easy to manage with diet and increasing your intake of iron. If you were someone who was interested in natural healing, I would suggest a product called Thyroid capsules. There are mainly 3 herbs for bringing the thyroid back to it full operation. They are Dulse, Bladderwrack, and Kelp. You will find all three of these in the Thyroid capsules. They way they work, is they feed the thyroid so that it doesn’t slack off on its job and become lazy.

I have had hypothroidism for 45 years. You can actually die from it, yes. If you do not want to take synthetic hormones to restore proper function, get natural hormones. I have been getting my natural thyroid online.

No. Your thyroid problem is either due to cancer, or it isn’t. If you’ve had a thyroid problem for 13 years, and you are still around, I’m sure it’s not due to cancer, even if you never got a proper diagnosis of the cause of your thyroid problems. Remember, hypothyroidism is just a symptom, not a diagnosis.
