Flagyl is a nasty medication that also made me nauseous. I found that taking it after a large meal kind of helped with that. Its hard to say how long your symptoms will take to get better since you had the infection for so long. I’ve had it 2x now, and both times it took 3-4 days to get any noticeable improvement. If you are not better after finishing your antibiotic, definitely get back in to have another test done to make sure the bacteria is under control.
If the meds make you sick you need to let your doctor know so they can give you something else. Flagyl is nasty and it made me sick too. It may cure the bv, but it may come back. I HOPE NOT! Ask the doctor for the Metrogel Vaginal or Clindamax instead of the pill — these are both creams/gels. Good luck sweetie!!
